Important Information


If you choose the Airport Pick-Up Option:

If you have arranged for airport pick-up from CLC, you will be greeted at the airport by a school representative. You are required to send the following information two weeks before your scheduled arrival:

1. A recent picture of yourself (no hats, please - just you).
2. The flight number and name of your airline.
3. The exact date and time of your arrival.
4. We suggest that you fax a copy of your plane ticket to us to confirm all of the details.


Student Health Insurance:

Visitors to Canada are not covered by Ontario Health Insurance Plans. Students are required to purchase private health insurance (or other travel insurance), either from their home country or when they arrive in Canada. The average price of Student Health insurance is $1.45 CAD per day.


Average temperatures in Toronto:

In spring:  cool to warm days, the average temperatures from 5 ̊ C.  In summer:  warm and hot days; average temperatures from 25 to 30 ̊ C.  In fall:  cool days, average temperatures from 5 to 10 ̊ C.     In winter: cold days, the average temperatures below freezing (0 ̊ C.), from -3 to -5 ̊ C.


Spending Money:

Students should plan for money to be spent on necessities such as a transit pass, daily lunches, paid field trips, and personal items. The average student spends approximately $ 100.00 per week.


Transportation:

Toronto has an excellent public transportation system. It includes a Subway, Streetcars and Buses. We always recommend to buy a TTC Monthly Pass, that allows its holder to do unlimited travels within the system for a whole month. The TTC Monthly Pass costs approximately C$110 and can be purchased during the first five days of each month.

Refund Policy:

Visa Rejection by Immigration Canada
Students who are unable to obtain the appropriate documents to enter Canada are entitled to a complete refund less the processing fee. The refund must be requested in writing. A copy of the letter of rejection from Immigration Canada must be send to CLC  in order to process the refund.

Booking Through A Representative
For students who enrolled at CLC through a representative, all refunds are subject to the policies of the representatives.

Tuition Refund
more than 30 days before starting date 75% refund
1-29 days before starting date 60% refund
Tuition = total weeks of study reserved at time of booking Any changes made to tuition studies are subject to CLC refund policy. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.

Accommodation Refund
Students must provide written notification a minimum of 4 full weeks in advance in order to qualify for a refund of unused accommodation fees. The Accommodation Placement Fee is non-refundable.
